Within a digital landscape, I focused on the transformative power in the female aesthetic form by capturing the quiet confidence of an erotic dancer. Her body, dispersed by patterned symbols, represents the possession of power and autonomy. This highlights the exploitation of sexual liberation. Anna Tippet names this phenomenon postfeminist masquerade. “Rebranding sexism as sexiness, objectification as liberation… Focusing on sexual agency at the individual level overlooks the impact on women.”

As of 2019, 25% of men fake orgasms as opposed to 59% of women. More than double. I wish to inspire and encourage exploration of the body and self, beyond what is prescribed by societal authority; to snap out of whatever women are 'supposed to be doing’. I believe art can offer productive provocation that contributes to discussion and liberation of impacted groups.
